A glimpse into my method.
Despite investing in good monitors at home, I rarely can get subtle details in a mix right without listening to it in my car and then re-tweaking several times. The constant roar of scurrying children everywhere might contribute to my issues… The little video below shows the sound of the cassette master as well as then colored by a FairChild 670 & Universal Audio LA-2A compressors both with pretty basic default settings as well as iZotope Ozone mastering software, which is what I eventually settled on.
Cassette > UAD Apollo – Added a little low end (Pultec EQP-1A) – iZotope Ozone mastering software
These are MP3 files 320kbps. I can make a zip file archive of all the files in a lossless, uncompressed format you to easily download.
Feel free to leave comments below with any thoughts, history or any tweaks I can make. Also I can add track names, yada yada yada…
